College Resources

SUNY Orange is fully committed to meeting the unique needs of returning veterans and strives to promote a smooth transition to campus as well as academic success for student veterans. SUNY Orange's associate degree and certificate programs are approved for veterans and eligible dependents by New York State Department of Education.

Support services to meet the needs of students with military educational benefits are coordinated through the Academic Advising Office.

Academic Advising and Support

At the Academic Advising Office you also have access to academic advising and transfer advising as you begin your studies and throughout your time in college.

A designated Academic Advisor for student Veterans trained at the Center for Deployment Psychology assists student Veterans returning and adjusting to civilian life. The Academic Advisor helps students develop and implement their academic plans as well as support their transition to college by programming events and workshops designed specifically for student Veterans. The advisor also has access to local community resources that are available to Veterans.
