N3259 - Counseling Skills

A basic course that demonstrates an understanding of the interrelationship of assessment, problem identification & prioritizing of client's needs; illustrate individualized treatment planning in the context of the continuum of care; utilize therapeutic communication techniques which address the client's needs; utilize the skills of confrontation & contracting in addressing treatment goals; & provide a basic knowledge of group treatment, development & functioning.  Includes 2 hours of Child Abuse & Maltreatment Mandated Reporting training.
