The SUNY Orange Style Guide is an indispensable tool designed to help you present your message most effectively while supporting the valuable SUNY Orange brand. The Style Guide is available for download both from here, as well as from the College's shared P drive on the College's network (P:\Logos_and_Templates)
The official name of the college is Orange County Community College. If a formal reference is not required, the institution should be referred to as SUNY Orange.
Orange County Community College school colors are identified using the Pantone Matching System (PMS). Our PMS colors are Orange 1665 and Blue 294. Colors for the web are available on our website at http://www.sunyorange.edu/web/guidelines.shtml#toc_4_7.
The College logo or seal must appear on every official college document. Below are copies of the College's logo and seal along with a link to an electronic file which may be downloaded and used for publication. Copies of the logo and seal may also be downloaded from the College's shared drive.
In addition to the main seal and logo, the College has developed department-specific logos which incorporate the department name within the context of the overall College branding. To use your department-specific logo, please download it from the shared P drive on the College's network.
To obtain a department-specific logo, please contact Steve Hedderton at (845) 341-4727.
For more information and guidance on logo and seal usage, please refer to the SUNY Orange Style Guide.
The Vice President for Institutional Advancement is the official spokesperson for the college and serves as the initial contact point for all press inquiries.
In most cases, a reporter who is writing a story or wants specific information on a particular topic will need to speak to the appropriate faculty or staff member. In these cases, the Office of Institutional Advancement will refer the reporter to the department chair who will in turn decide whom within his/her department is best to answer the particular question.
In other cases, a reporter may contact a member of the staff or faculty directly. In these cases, please notify the Office of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement with the name of the media and the reporter along with the nature of the inquiry.
Under no circumstances should staff and faculty members initiate contacts with the press without the prior approval of the Vice President of Institutional Advancement or the President of Orange County Community College.
