SUNY ORANGE ALUMNI TO SPONSOR "BOWLING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS"
Fundraising Event Set for Sunday, Feb. 24 at Middletown’s Quinnz Pins; Community Invited to Participate
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – SUNY Orange students, faculty, staff and alumni, along with members of the community-at-large, are invited to participate in a “Bowling for Scholarships ... One Strike at a Time” event from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24 at Quinnz Pins, 13-19 Railroad Avenue in Middletown.
All proceeds will benefit the SUNY Orange Scholarship Fund. Minimum contribution is $20 per person. Participants may elect to pay their entry contribution or collect sponsorships. The price includes two hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and soda, as well as a fun afternoon of networking and bowling to benefit SUNY Orange students.
Registration for the event, being organized by the College’s Alumni Relations Office, will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Those participants who collect more than $25 in sponsorships will be eligible for a variety of prizes, including $50 gift cards to The Colonial Diner, Something Sweet and Subway for the top three faculty, staff or community fund-raisers, and College Bookstore gift cards in the amounts of $150, $100, $50 for the top three student fund-raisers. The College department with the most members participating will receive a commemorative SUNY Orange bowling pin designed specially by Quinnz Pins.
Lane sponsorships, with accompanying LCD advertisement on Quinnz Pins’ internal screens, can be purchased for $300 per lane.
