Guidelines for Trips

Reservations for all trips are available to currently enrolled credit students on a first-come, first-served basis. Credit students who wish to sign up for more than two trips will be placed on a first priority reserve list for any other trips that semester.

Each currently enrolled credit student is entitled to have one guest per trip. Guests are considered non-students and are charged non-student prices.

Faculty, Staff, Alumni and non-credit students possibly may attend by signing up on the reserve list.

Two weeks prior to each trip, available reservations will be given to individuals on the "Reserve List" in the order they were received. Anyone on the "Reserve List" should call the Student Activities Office two weeks prior to the trip to determine whether or not they have been moved from the "Reserve List" to the trip list.

All reservations must be made in the SAO or Student Services Central, Newburgh Campus, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday when the College is in session.

Students must present a currently valid I.D. card when making reservations. Upon boarding the bus, a receipt from the SAO and a College I.D. card must be presented. Guests must also present a valid form of I.D.

Full payment for each trip constitutes a reservation. The cost of each ticket includes transportation costs and admissions to the event. There are no hidden or additional costs.

The cost of a ticket for students is less than non-students, faculty or staff. Students receive discounts on tickets which is determined by the number of credits a student is enrolled for during the semester.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable without the expressed written consent of the SAO.

Buses and vans for all trips will depart from the Shepard Student Center. Buses will depart from the front of the Shepard Student Center while trips planned with vans will depart from the rear of the Shepard Student Center. Buses will also depart from Kaplan Hall, Newburgh Campus.

No alcohol or music boxes permitted.

Students in wheel chairs who wish to attend any of the trips will be reimbursed for providing their own transportation at a rate of 55 cents per mile, if our transportation company is unable to accomodate them.
