Educational Garden Volunteer Weeding Sessions Announced

A total of four Educational Garden weeding sessions have been scheduled for the beginning of the Fall semester. Sessions will be held on Sept. 2, Sept. 8, Sept. 13 and Sept. 15. These sessions are a fun way to meet new people, get fresh air, and relax, while at the same time taking part in the upkeep and beautification of our Educational Gardens.

The Middletown campus currently features a total of four Educational Gardens and includes the Woodland Native Garden and the Xeriscape Garden by Hudson Hall, the Rain Garden by the Gazebo, and the Devitt Center Wetland Garden near the greenhouses. The gardens were installed over the past 7 years and all serve as educational resources to the college's Sustainability efforts and beyond. They also provide wonderful places to relax and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.

Please join us on any or all of the scheduled dates and times. A sign to direct you to the weeding location of the day will be posted by the Woodland Garden (corner of Hudson Hall near the Mansion) on each of the scheduled days. Snacks will be provided and you will be sure to enjoy good camaraderie as well. Feel free to contact me at if you have any questions.

Event date, time and location.
