Social Media v. Body Image: Friend or Foe

Now, more than ever, we are bombarded with body image messages on social media.

Join the Wellness Center on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Great Room of Kaplan Hall on the Newburgh campus for an enlightening presentation on how social media can influence one’s body image, especially those living with eating disorders. Case examples will be presented, as well as an opportunity to brainstorm solutions.

Presented by Megan Coral, MS, LMFT and Nancy Graham, LCSW of the Renfrew Center, a pioneer in the treatment of eating disorders since 1985. The Renfrew Center is the nation’s first residential eating disorder facility, now with 17 locations throughout the country. Renfrew has helped more than 65,000 women with eating disorders and other behavioral health issues.

Sponsored by The Wellness Center, and the Mental Health Association in Orange County, Inc.
