Closing Reception Celebrates Jacqui Doyle Schneider's exhibit, "Then and Now: Thrown Pottery over 35 Years"

A closing reception celebrating Jacqui Doyle Schneider’s exhibit, "Then and Now: Thrown Pottery over 35 Years" will take place on Jan. 28 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the Foyer of the Mindy Ross Gallery in Kaplan Hall, SUNY Orange.

During the reception, Newburgh musician, classical guitarist Joy Zelada will provide beautiful music of South and Central Americas.

This event is free and open to the public and part of the arts initiative Newburgh Last Saturdays. The exhibit is part of the "Artists of Excellence" series which spotlights highly talented regional artists.

A resident of Walden, Jacqui Doyle Schneider has taught advanced ceramics at Valley Central High School for the past 20 years. She is a very enthusiastic creative person who loves sharing her talents and techniques. Both sculptural and utilitarian, her work demonstrates a complete artist in creativity of each vessel, use of color, and exquisite design. Doyle Schneider holds a BA in Art from SUNY Oswego and an MA in Art from SUNY New Paltz.
