VoIP Phone Server Upgrade Planned for TONIGHT (Feb. 9)

College community,

The ITS Department is continuing work toward strengthening the IT experience for everyone at SUNY Orange. Starting at 8 p.m. TONIGHT (Thursday, Feb. 9), we will begin upgrading the VoIP servers that service VoIP phones on both the Middletown and Newburgh campuses.

This upgrade will allow us to install the latest recommended version of the VoIP server software, which will provide enhanced support and add much-needed fixes to our current VoIP deployment. While this work is being undertaken, the VoIP system will be offline for 30-45 minutes.

If the College is open tonight, we would ask that you plan accordingly if you expect to be on either campus in the evening. In the event that the College is closed all day today, we plan to complete the work anyway, but perhaps on a different schedule.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. If you encounter any problems with your VoIP phones following the upgrade, please contact the HelpDesk at 341-4749.
