SCREAM Theater to Perform on Both Campuses

The Wellness Center is proud to collaborate with The Mental Health Association in Orange County, Inc. and Orange County Rape Crisis Services to present a performance of SCREAM Theater on Friday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the OCTC Great Room of Kaplan Hall on the Newburgh campus. An encore performance will be held Friday, April 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rowley Center, Gerry Forum, Room 101 on the Middletown campus.

The “SCREAM” in SCREAM Theater stands for Students Challenging Realities and Educating Against Myths.

SCREAM Theater is the peer education improvisational theater group associated with the Office for Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance at Rutgers University. The group, consisting of mostly undergraduate students, uses interactive, educational skits to educate audiences on issues of interpersonal violence, specifically sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and bullying.
