AVP Selections in BMST and Liberal Arts

College Community:

Please join me in congratulating Stacey Moegenburg and Anne Prial on their selections as permanent Associate Vice Presidents in Academic Affairs.  While the search committees completed their work in May, and at which time I shared this news with their respective Divisions, some kind colleagues have made the excellent observation that this news would be appreciated as a college-wide communication as well.  Below are some brief highlights of Stacey’s and Anne’s successful selections as Associate Vice Presidents.

As Interim AVP in Liberal Arts, Stacey has worked collaboratively with Chairs and faculty to advocate for the Liberal Arts curriculum.  Stacey’s extensive supervisory and leadership experience, coupled with her experience as a faculty member, positions her well to lead a division of diverse disciplines - all of which contribute to a critical foundation in the Liberal Arts.  Stacey’s experience in a variety of leadership roles at SUNY Orange also demonstrates her strong dedication to the College and to our students.

As Interim AVP in BMST, Anne has worked collaboratively with Chairs and faculty to advocate for the Business, Math, Science, and Technology curriculum.  Anne’s experience as a faculty member, Department Chair, and Interim AVP in BMST provides her with a strong understanding of the curriculum and programs in the BMST Division.  Anne’s engagement in support programs for students’ success through our Title III grant, as well as her commitment to programs on the Newburgh campus were recognized as strengths for the permanent Associate Vice President for Business, Math, Science, and Technology.

I want to thank all of you who participated in the Open Forums and provided feedback to the search committee as they carefully and thoughtfully deliberated their recommendation for the position.

Finally, my thanks to each of the search committee members for their dedication to this process at such a busy time of year, and to Mike Gawronski for deftly leading the committee through a thorough and thoughtful process.
