Upcoming Paving Projects and Internal Repairs at Middletown Campus

College community,

Following are some upcoming projects on tap for the Middletown campus in the coming weeks:

Morrison Hall heat pump replacement: The contractor will be installing new shutoff valves in Morrison Hall from Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23. This work is in preparation for replacing heat pumps in Morrison Hall. There will be no A/C in Morrison Hall while the shutoff valves are being replaced. We will be reaching out to the occupants of Morrison Hall to give advance notice of approximately when the heat pumps will be being replaced in their particular area.

Information Technology A/C unit replacement: From Thursday, July 27 through Saturday, July 29, we will be replacing the A/C unit in the ITS data center in the Bio-Tech Building. Most of the work will be completed on Friday and Saturday, and should not impact the College community. There will be no air conditioning in the data center over that period.

Grandview Avenue paving: The Middletown Department of Public Works will be paving Grandview Avenue in the coming days. We don’t have a specific date at this point. As soon as we know the date, we’ll share that information. The paving work will affect employees and students using the Orange Hall parking lot (Lot 1) as well as employees using the Horton Hall parking area (Lot 10).

South Street and Christine Morrison House parking lots: On Friday, July 21, Ward Paving is scheduled to be paving, weather permitting, the two crossovers from the South Street lot (Lot 5) into the Christine Morrison House parking lot (Lot 12). Also, on Monday, July 24, Ketchem Fence is scheduled to install the new guardrail between Lot 5 and Lot 12. This job is also weather permitting.
