The Basics: Memory Loss, Alzheimer's and Dementia, a Lunch & Learn

For those facing Alzheimer’s, every day feels like the longest!

On June 21, the longest day of the year and the summer solstice, thousands of people across the US will join together to show their love and support for the 5.7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, igniting a global conversation about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias as part of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month.

The Wellness Center will participate in The Longest Day with a Lunch & Learn from Noon to 1 p.m. in Library Room 221 on the Middletown campus. We will discuss The Basics: Memory Loss, Alzheimer’s and Dementia with Jonelle Ward, Community Engagement Manager and Diversity Specialist at the Hudson Valley chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. This event is open to the public, and friends and family members are welcome. Seats are limited so please reserve your spot via our online sign-up form. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!
