Sicily: Island of Contrasts

Professor Rachael Goldman of the Borough of Manhattan Community College, a published scholar in the field of Greco-Roman Classical Studies, will present a lecture on the turbulent history of Sicily, from prehistoric times to the Punic Wars to Roman colonization to Viking raids to WW II to the present. Come learn about the amazing history of diversity on this much fought-over Mediterranean island, including discussion of art and archaeology.

The lecture will be held 11-12 noon on Tuesday, May 2nd, in the Gilman Center, Room 130 of the main campus library in Middletown.
