QPR Suicide Prevention Training Offered

SUNY Orange is raising awareness about suicide prevention.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college and university students, aged 25-34, but it is also one of the most preventable causes of death.

Help save lives with QPR: Question, Persuade, and Refer, the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

QPR is an evidence-based and award winning suicide prevention training model that effectively trains individuals to reduce the risk of suicide.

The training is designed for students, staff and faculty and is being offered on both campuses by Maureen Flaherty, MA, LMHC.

Training location and times:

Middletown Campus: March 29, from 11:00 – 12:00, Shepard Student Center, Room 351

Newburgh Campus: April 11, from 11:00 – 12:00, Kaplan Hall, Room 111
